Hello Hello! I hope you’re all well, and you’re reading some great finds. I’ve managed to read 3 books while I’m on pause with two audiobooks. Both audiobooks being non-fiction, starting the year with a non-fiction is always a great way to begin the year motivated and ready to face the year head on.
I’ve decided to take part in two challenges this year, in hopes to increase my reading and footprint in terms of reading far and wide. I am hoping to read 37 books for 2022 as I will be turning 37 come 6th March (I accept gift vouchers, and books right through the year) 🙂
Taking part in the Something Bookish Reading Challenge was a decision I made at the beginning of the year because I saw the prompts, and I was sold. I’m going to be tracking my reading throughout the year using my Storygraph account here. Follow my journey.
The next challenge I’m looking forward to is the Afrocentric April Booksta Tour which I did in 2021 as well. I think the two challenges will most definitely expose me to more new books. Most of which I already have in my collection. I am definitely looking forward to reading some authors that I haven’t read at all. Some I read only one book from their collection and didn’t manage to pick up another over the years.
Here’s some more challenges if you happen to be looking at trying out one. I found these on #bookstagram:

2. The Storygraph Reads the World 2022
This challenge is hosted by The Storygraph, you can find the list here. You’ll be visiting more countries through all the amazing titles mentioned in this challenge. There’s over 1700 books across 10 countries loaded by users on this one.
3. In 2021 The Reading Women had their last #readingwomenchallenge and below are the prompts. Perhaps you can look at their website or Instagram page for their preview years’ challenges and use those.
4. The Feminist Reading Challenge 2022
The #thefeministreadingchallenge is hosted by @thefeministnook and runs throughout 2022. It is created to encourage people to read books by women/non-binary authors to achieve the prompts and writers of colour. You can follow Liv here for some reading recommendations for these prompts.
5. Melanated Reader (@melanatedreader) is hosting the #20BooksbyBlackWomen challenge and you can join in using this hashtag. Follow her here.
There’s a few more challenges like the #abcreadingchallenge and the #22booksin2022 which you can follow using the hashtags. Let me know in the comments or on Instagram here what challenges are you taking part in and if you do enjoy doing the prompts.
Happy Reading!
