This week’s highlight must be Molemi being announced as a Nal’ibali Reading Ambassador.
Our journey began with Nal’ibali last year when Molemi and I did the live book readings during the first lockdown announcement. We each had our own slots and Molemi would read for the kiddies. His responsibilities as an ambassador will include encouraging little readers to help promote to other children, parents and caregivers, the power of stories and reading for enjoyment for children’s educational and personal development.
I for one am super excited for him as his parent, and I commit to keep on doing the work of encouraging him to read as much as possible – it is through him seeing me as his parent read, that began it all and I’m so grateful that we get to share this love together.
