Late last year I created a Youtube channel with the plan to share the videos I saved on the Instagram account from the daily live book readings. A way to sort of archive the readings for the people who actually don’t have Instagram or those who enjoy the live readings but aren’t able to join in and interact with me at the time. Simply to “save” them somewhere but Instagram really.

This has resulted in me posting a little bit of “new” content on the Youtube channel. I have had times where I question my ability to be consistent in all the platforms that Bookamoso appears in from the website, the daily posts/stories, to the Facebook page. I worry if the content I’m sending out is current or relevant enough. I have learnt to really stay in my lane when it comes to navigating this new chapter and take it as it comes till I get the hang of it. I do still share the live book readings on the channel – even if it takes some time because life does happen, the aim is to always save them onto the channel.

I have also struggled with perfection – this is ongoing really. I will have to learn new ways of dealing with the pressure I’m placing on myself constantly to be perfect. I do enjoy how genuine the content I send out is and I would love for it to translate to what you, the consumer of my content experiences whenever you encounter the work I put out. Thank you for sticking around, for engaging with me daily on the pages and for all the love. I will continue learning, and unlearning the things that hold me down and prevent me from releasing new content and let go of the fear and overthinking.

I would love to hear your experience of Booktube – who are your favourite booktubers in the comment section. If you’re not subscribed to the channel yet, please do so here and don’t forget to like (so that the videos are suggested to other people), share and engage with the content.

How you can support me: 1. Like, share and comment on the videos; 2. Watch my videos even if you just play them on mute (but it would be great if you don’t 😉 ).

Love and Light,
Omphile (aka Bookamoso) – yes some people address me as the book club name.
