I recently went to Devine Bookstore – by accident because I went to the shopping center where the store is located in desperate need of a packet of nappies. Yes, nappies. One of #TheRaleieTwins nappies had run out and I had made mental notes all week of all the things I needed to do at the beginning of each day, but the nappies kept slipping my mind. I was on my way back home from a bookish search for a #booknook in the Cresta side of town. So I googled a Baby City that was in close proximity and boom – I got there just in time. Also – just in time before Devine Bookstore closed their doors for the day.
Devine Bookstore stocks a variety of genres, ranging from educational; fiction; self help, business; historical, religious and children’s books. I spotted some of my favourite African fiction titles on their well stacked bookshelves at reasonable prices. These titles are also new or second hand – so the store caters for all budgets.
The Fairlands Walk Shopping Centre branch is opening this Monday, 2 March 2020. Please make a turn when you’re in the area or just thinking of supporting an independent bookstore.
