I have been visiting some coffee shops to find a perfect spot to read a page or 10 and I found myself at Sihle’s Brew Coffee Shop in Northview Shopping Centre in Northriding.
Sihle’s Brew brand was born through founder, Sihle Magubane’s love for coffee and having trained as a barista. The coffee shop serves as a great meeting place for business meetings, breakfast take-away spot for the individual in a hurry to the next meeting from gym located next to it, they also stock the 5 signature blends of roasted coffee to take home or purchase for loved ones. The coffee is now also available on takealot.
First Impressions: The shop is kitted out with fresh decor and furnishings outside for a lovely chill if the weather allows or for events. I opted to sit inside with the patrons who were in the shop, sitting quietly enjoying their choice of caffeine carefully prepared by the barista.
Menu: Sihle’s Coffee shop has a breakfast and light lunch menu which includes a selection of coffees to choose from and cold beverages if you fancy such. They’ve recently began serving craft beer as well for those after work meetings.
They have different payment options including Snapscan which is a favourite of mine, meaning you don’t have to carry your card – just use your phone to snap and pay. WiFi is available to allow for browsing while you have coffee or breakfast – which is convenient for the business person who uses coffices as a space for work.
I enjoyed spending the afternoon at this coffee shop reading my current read Black Tax: Burden or Ubuntu, edited by Niq Mhlongo. A really beautiful space to hide away, read a page or more like I did. Do yourself a favour and go visit Sihle’s Brew Coffee Shop.
