So last week I got tagged by a friend from back home that he’s just read about me and the book club. I quickly remembered that I was meant to appear on The New Age’s Afro Voice but I never followed up for dates etc.
What a lovely surprise to actually get that much love from everyone who got to see this newspaper insert on the club and the journey thus far. I got Whatsapp screen grabs of the article, calls, messages for me to keep doing this. My mom on the other hand couldn’t wait to read the PDF copy I’m sharing now – she was so excited, as if I won the Lotto.
