I’ve just received a review copy of Tracy Going’s Memoir, Brutal Grace from Jacana Media. The perks of running a book club you say? Well, this particular memoir made me catch feelings when I began reading the synopsis. Mainly because it’s really a harrowing account of Tracy’s journey of true survival and healing.
Tracy Going was South Africa’s golden girl of broadcasting, gracing our screens each weekday morning on Morning Live and as a radio presenter for Metro FM and Kaya FM. Then in the late 1990’s her life changed when pictures of her bruised face were all over newspapers following a love relationship that became violent.
Read an excerpt from Tracy’s memoir here, and in the meantime I’ll think up a competition to give one lucky person a copy of the book. Courtesy of Jacana Media.
