This past Saturday I joined the Bookworms ladies once again for their monthly meeting. This time they were reviewing Pamela Power’s Things Unseen. A psychological thriller which might just turn out to be a part of a series (watch this space).

The discussion began with a brief history of the Bookworms Book Club for Pamela. Pamela also gave us her account of how she became an author, scriptwriter and mom. She’s a hilarious person, and relatable too. The discussion was so interesting in that it moved from the characters the ladies loved to hate, their challenges, strengths and weaknesses. And to how they didn’t imagine the culprit would be who it ended up being.

We had a gracious host in Sthe – who cooked up a storm and had a bookish inspired theme for her dishes. The drinks were flowing and the conversation went on right till the late evening which prompted me to want to bring a sleeping bag the next book review we have.

Here’s a link to some of the pictures taken on the day.

A day well spent, with women who engage one and encourage one to really continue spreading the love of reading and having robust discussions.
