Listen to Radio 702’s Phemelo Motene interview author and life coach Dr Disa Mogashana about her book ‘Unfathered‘.
Written as a deeply emotional letter to her father, Mogashana takes the reader through key events in her life including the circumstances surrounding her untimely birth and why she considered herself a bastard.
In her book, she tells her story to alert parents of the consequences of the effects of such a physical and emotional absence in the lives of their children, especially by fathers.
The book also challenges those who grew up in similar circumstances as Mogashana to overcome their challenges and not be defined by their situation.
