On the 1st February I’ll be celebrating World Read Aloud Day with Nal’ibali along with all of South Africa and I’m excited!

Each year Nal’ibali produces a story especially for World Read Aloud Day in all 11 official languages. Nal’ibali calls on all the adults to join them in reading the story out loud to the children in their lives on World Read Aloud Day. So parents, caregivers, teachers, guardians are all encouraged to take part.

Because I’ll be at work during the day – our son (8 Years Old) and I will be reading in the evening. But I’ve decided to ask all the adults that I know to pledge on www.nalibali.org/mobi to show their support by downloading the World Read Aloud story, The Final Minute written by Zukiswa Wanner.

Nal’ibali has also shared a few activities that children and their parents/guardians can take part in after reading the story, so do check out the website for all the fun activities which we can all take part in.

So to all the adults out there – please let’s take part in this as Nal’ibali attempts to set a new record of the number of children read to. You’re welcome to post a video of you reading on your social media and tag @Bookamoso @nalibalisa and hashtag #WRADChallenge2018 #BookamosoReadsAloud
