Here’s a mini-review I did for Maid in SA – 30 Ways to Leave your Madam.

I was so happy to receive this book with a media pack for the SA Book Fair. So I tried to make time to read it immediately after the fair. It was quick to read, relevant to the relationships women employees have with their helpers. I could see certain stories that I related to as I’ve got friends who have gone through one too many a helper/nanny in my time. I’ve also gone through the most over the past year as a Makoti trying to run a clean household. Made me think about how we as the employers treat our helpers/nannies – so many of the stories I could picture happening. Written simply which I appreciated.
